Adult Inpatient Program

assessment meeting doctorThe adult inpatient program at Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is designed for individuals above the age of 18 who are experiencing mental health issues that require a therapeutic environment and 24-hour care.

Treatment includes a psychiatric and physical evaluation to develop a plan for each patient’s recovery. The program provides medication management, group therapy, family therapy (as needed), health and nutrition education, activities therapy and individualized discharge and aftercare planning. 

We encourage adults leaving the inpatient program to take the next step to outpatient care so they can continue making progress and ease the transition back to their home community.

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Bipolar disorders
  • Psychosis
  • Acute psychiatric disorders
  • Mood swings
  • Paranoid behaviors
  • Dysfunctional behaviors
  • Severe agitation
  • Assaultive behaviors
  • Personality disorders
  • Co-occurring substance use disorders
